The Challenge:
At 81 Newgate Street, London, we were tasked to meet the strict fire safety regulations within the office space while also ensuring good insulation. The challenge was to install windows that could provide two hours of fire protection while also helping to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature.
Our Solution:
Our solution was to install EI120 fire-rated windows with enhanced thermal performance, ensuring not only fire safety but also improved energy efficiency. In key areas, the windows were designed to reduce heat loss, achieving a U-value of 1.6W/m²K, meaning they help keep warmth in during winter and out during summer.
