The Challenge:
Located in the heart of Wembley Park, Solar and Luna are newly developed residences providing 665 build-to-rent apartments and 104 affordable homes. Our client asked us to develop a bespoke solution that matched their vision, including a unique colour requirement. In the architect’s design, the glazed doors and screens exceeded standard certified sizes, so we were also tasked with creating a compliant solution for this project.
Our Solution:
Working closely with our client and the architect, we drew on our expertise to adapt the design into a buildable, compliant solution while achieving the necessary fire ratings. After extensive collaboration, we agreed on the best approach and our team installed bespoke glazed doors and screens, including fully certified fire-rated systems, across multiple floors in both buildings. Installations were carried out over multiple visits, in line with the client’s programme, to ensure safety, performance and quality were of the highest standard.
